Visiting Belfast
Reminder: anyone travelling to the convention from outside of the UK and Ireland, will require an ETA. The cost is 10.00 GBP but that is going up on 9th April.
All the details including how to apply are here:
Currencies
Northern Ireland is legislatively part of the U.K. and sterling is the currency. However the Republic of Ireland (Ireland) is part of the EU and the euro is the currency.
If you are travelling through Ireland you will need some euros. If in the North only you will need sterling.
I do find something like a Monzo card that allows me to pay in either currency without exchange penalties to be very useful and ease stress. There are a number on the market to choose from. Debit and credit cards are widely accepted but I do find a small amount of cash to be useful too.
“Belfast is alive with culture and entertainment, from
festivals and live music, to world class attractions….and everything in between!
There is something for the whole family to enjoy!”
