Getting Here

There are a number of ways to reach Belfast (most of which require crossing a stretch of water)

If coming into Northern Ireland there are 4 main entry points:

Belfast City Airport – the closest airport. A train can be caught from Sydenham station (a bit of a walk however) or there is an airport bus to Grand Central Station (600). Taxis are also easily caught from there

Belfast International Airport – this is further our with no train link but a bus can be caught to Grand Central Station.

Ports – if you are coming from the U.K. there are ferry boats running from Scotland taking you into Belfast port (an easy taxi ride to the convention) or Larne (a train ride into Grand Central Station). There are also ferries from Wales and France into Ireland.

There is also a good ferry from Liverpool into Belfast

Once at Grand Central Station … we have only a small number of train lines. Take a train to Lanyon Place Station (there will be regular connections to it) which is very close to the convention. Cross the road, walk across a glass bridge a few yards away and the hotel is opposite – a walk through is available on the website, too.

If coming through Ireland

From Dublin airport there is a very good coach service to Grand Central Station

From Dublin City centre, the Enterprise train service currently has engineering works and replacement bus services – check the details here: https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/accordion/upcoming-line-improvements/belfast-services

People in Ireland, north and south, are friendly and used to visitors – don’t be afraid to ask for directions!!!!

Belfast Lanyon Place Train Station is less than a quarter mile away.

For those travelling overland from Dublin, there are engineering works on the train line and replacement bus services – check here for details: https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/accordion/upcoming-line-improvements/belfast-services
